Inner Visions, The Healing Path of Art by Artist & Author AnneDeidre Smith is an open, honest sincere journey of one woman's journey towards transcendence. At a period in her life she found strength and an awakening to rise above her problems. In a recent interview she says, "I had "hit rock bottom" during that period of time as I was overwhelmed with anxiety and depression. It was paralyzing. I had difficulty leaving my house and was barely able to function. I was overtaken by fear. I see that now as a period of a "dark night of the soul." It is my understanding that it is a crisis of faith, a very real feeling of sink or swim. It is the dark before the dawn. Prayer and meditation finally pulled me out of this state of mind."
In her new book, Inner Visions, The Healing Path of Art, Anne bravely shares her own life story and the challenges and emotional hardships that she was able to turn into positive affirmations. In Inner Visions, The Healing Path of Art, the author writes "Dreams - we're told to follow them, but what if we don't know where to begin, and we feel like we don't have any to begin with? That's where I found myself…" Anne faced the demons of fear, anxiety and despair - She could not eat or sleep. She needed bliss but could not find it. She prayed daily but had lost faith in herself as a career person. In 1992, faith in her abilities as an artist emerged. She suddenly had a desire to paint but had never taken a painting class. One evening (June 1992) she poured out some paint on a paper plate and painted her first painting - WOUNDED LIONESS. This painting (among others) is in her book represents her state of mind at that particular time as well as her astrological sign Leo. The theme of this painting is 'We are beaten, but not broken.'
Inner Visions, The Healing Path of Art is breathtaking and full of inspiration. Anne's art work is beautifully crafted with meaning and encouragment. I found myself wanting to get a canvas and paintbrush and see what happens. Inner Visions, The Healing Path of Art is a small book but BIG on sincerity and purpose. Anne Deidre Smith proves that we can overcome our doubts and fears through faith in God and how with a genuine imagination, art is a method of healing. This is an INSPIRING story!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: I have always had an interest in art. I
studied art in college, focusing on the history of art. I spent summers working as a Museum Guide for the Nantucket Historical Association. After having graduated from college with a degree in Art History, I began to paint as a form of expression. Most of my images come from within. When I am able to translate feelings like despair or pain into an image of Hope, Faith or Love, that is one of the many joys of painting.
My experience is that we can create Heaven on Earth. This has been a personal reality for me as I have overcome depression, anxiety and have connected with my life purpose after many years of struggle. I would like each and every one of us to feel our own sense of worthiness, to really feel the God in us and be able to be forgiving, grateful, strong...my writings are intuited messages for us each to hear and feel our own connection to the Higher Power, to know that we are not alone on our journey.
Anne has been published in several on-line publications, featuring articles on spiritual intuition, the God Spark, and others still to come. She has been published in ezinearticles.com as well as spiritualtransformation.com, newageinfo.com, jtchandler.com, articledashboard.com and goarticles.com. Join the mailing list to receive her new articles, class schedule, and special savings. The mission of Inner Visions is to help make this a personal reality for you. When you connect to the Heaven, the Divine inside of you, and you remember your Divinity as being one with God, your life will transform and experiencing everyday miracles can and will occur. http://www.innervisionsgallery.com
