"The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great
Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western" is groundbreaking
Aristotle once said "Happiness depends upon ourselves."
What a more productive life it would be if we had better self- awareness,
and understanding of who we are and who we would like to be. The
Babylonians are generally credited with the birth of astrology. Their
astrological charts enabled them to predict the recurrence of seasons
and certain celestial events. So, in the beginning and for more than
2,000 years, astrology and astronomy were the same science. Astrology is
an all-encompassing art/science which has far-reaching consequences in
the lives of countless numbers of people worldwide. For centuries it has
been respected -- Plato and albertus medium, Sir Isaac Newton, and on
down to more recent writers such as the. astronomer Flamstead (the great
Astronomer Royal who helped to build the Greenwich Observatory) to
appreciate how many fine minds throughout history have consulted
Astrology.
The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great
Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western by Suzanne White (ISBN:
0312017979) is a life's work of research and study of the two
astrological systems. 'It offers insights into not only our own lives,
but also those of all who are close (and not so close) to us. Above all,
"THE NEW ASTROLOGY" is a serious tool for self-awareness, and
understanding the rich variety of human nature all around us.'
What is 'THE NEW ASTROLOGY'? In a recent interview the author says, "My
New Astrology© shows people a great deal more about their character than
other astrology books. Also, It's written for normal human beings and
not for esoteric oogah boogah astrology buffs. THE NEW ASTROLOGY is
instructive. It not only shows you who you are, but it tells you what
you should do with who you are, who you get along with best in love and
business and family and how you can best manage your life in
relationships and other key areas. My readers all say similar things.
"Thank you. I learned so much about myself from your book. And now I
finally understand my mother-in-law too." I have a web site so people
write to me every day and it's always about New Astrology and how it has
changed their lives."
"The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great
Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western" is a groundbreaking
achievement that covers a lot of ground in one book by comparing Western
and Chinese signs with an outcome of 144 new signs. Do you understand
Yin and Yang? Everything has its opposite: although this is never
absolute, only relative. No one thing is completely Yin or completely
Yang. Each contains the seed of its opposite. For example, winter can
turn into summer; "what goes up must come down". One cannot exist
without the other. For example, day cannot exist without night. Light
cannot exist without darkness. Death cannot exist without Life. Everyone
has either a Yin personality or a Yang personality. In "The New
Astrology" you will discover which one you are and in return discover
who you are.
Suzanne White is a seasoned and experienced professional with many books
written in her career -- "SUZANNE WHITE'S GUIDE TO LOVE" ; "THE NEW
CHINESE ASTROLOGY; ASTRO LOVE" and "CHINESE ASTROLOGY PLAIN AND
SIMPLE" - All of the books can be found on her website Suzannewhite.com.
Suzanne's accomplishments are outstanding. She was asked by its creator
to work for AOL’s ASTRONET, an astrological site. On ASTRONET, Suzanne
had her own area all about CHINESE ASTROLOGY. Beyond the evergreen
character readings available to all ASTRONET users, White hosted a
weekly 2 hour Sunday night live chat session, answering lovelorn
questions for AOL users across the world. On ASTRONET, Suzanne White
also posted a weekly lovelorn column (question and answer) and offered a
paying service to her readers who wanted her to consult with them
regarding personal problems. Suzanne’s “ASTRO LOVE ADVICE “ was one of
the first credit card-based services on AOL. In those days, White
handled all the credit checks herself from a home office credit card
machine. The service and the area were hugely successful. Regrettably,
because she was spending too much of her book writing time and receiving
no remuneration from AOL, White quit ASTRONET in 1996.
Suzanne says, " I learned about astrology in Paris in the 60's
(everybody else did too) and I read a few books and then got interested
in Asian or "Chinese" astrology. Then, as I was a single Mom, I worked
in fashion journalism. About the time I was 30 (Saturn return time), a
friend gave me her writer husband's typewriter. She had thrown him out
and didn't want to look at his remnants any longer. With the aid of that
Olivetti portable, I started writing articles for women's magazines.
Being left-handed, until I owned that typewriter, I hated writing. It
hurt and cramped and everything got smudged. But with the aid of the
typewriter and the Hunt & Peck system of typing, I slowly became
addicted to the fact that thoughts could be tidily transferred through
my fingers to paper. I submitted an article to Cosmopolitan in 1971. It
was about having illegitimate children and how I had survived that
adventure. They bought it for $700 and I was the richest woman alive."
The author continues to discuss her book "THE NEW ASTROLOGY as
"instructive. It not only shows you who you are, but it tells you what
you should do with who you are, who you get along with best in love and
business and family and how you can best manage your life in
relationships and other key areas. My readers all say similar things.
'Thank you. I learned so much about myself from your book. And now I
finally understand my mother-in-law too.' "
"The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great
Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western" instantly open my mind to
a new understanding of myself; enlighten myself to my connection to
everyone and everything around and today feel more confident about who I
am and where I'm going. "The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the
World's Two Great Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western" by
Suzanne White (ISBN: 0312017979) is a doorway to understanding
'happiness and inner self' -- Now you know where the door is and that it
is open -- The rest is up to you. Happiness DOES depend upon ourselves.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Suzanne White
Author Suzanne White is an American author who lives in France
and Buenos Aires. Her work
experience is extensive and varied. She has been a college
professor, a fashion model, a journalist, an interpreter, a
novelist, a fireworks salesperson, director of a Parisian
Couture boutique, an elevator operator, a shoe salesperson, a
single mom and a simultaneous translator. In 1971, she began
writing articles for women’s magazines and by 1973 had written
her first book, a novel called Ladyfingers that was published in
both hard and soft cover in NY in 1974/75. In 1975, White began
writing books about Chinese Astrology. She has published four
substantial, best-selling books on both western and Chinese
Astrology. (see below) White is well known and respected as a
Chinese Astrology expert worldwide Some call her the "High
Priestess" of Chinese Astrology. All of Suzanne White's books
sell steadily and remain in print. Since 1995, White has been a
continued presence on the Internet, at first working for both
AOL and Disney sites. In 2001, she started her own site
SUZANNEWHITE.COM in English.
A PIONEER IN THE ONLINE BUSINESS
In France, during the eighties, Suzanne White was asked to
develop her own astrology site on the MINITEL Network - a
videotext computer network originally designed by the
nationalized French telephone company to replace the printed
phone book. The French Minitel network has been used (and still
is today) to display and sell everything from train tickets to
tarot cards. It contains vast areas of personal ads and many
astrology and psychic network sites. Suzanne White’s site was
financed by a French computer company which had one of the
largest “servers” during that time. The site did very well but
flagged when Ms White began returning more and more to the
States. Minitel time is billed by the minute on a user’s
bimonthly phone bill. Content providers are remunerated by the
phone company. In 1989, Suzanne White bought herself a house in
Provence and quit the Minitel to go back to writing books.
At its inception (1993), Suzanne White was asked by its creator
to work for AOL’s ASTRONET, an astrological site. On ASTRONET,
Suzanne had her own area all about CHINESE ASTROLOGY. Beyond the
evergreen character readings available to all ASTRONET users,
White hosted a weekly 2 hour Sunday night live chat session,
answering lovelorn questions for AOL users across the world. On
ASTRONET, Suzanne White also posted a weekly lovelorn column
(question and answer) and offered a paying service to her
readers who wanted her to consult with them regarding personal
problems. Suzanne’s “ASTRO LOVE ADVICE “ was one of the first
credit card-based services on AOL. In those days, White handled
all the credit checks herself from a home office credit card
machine. The service and the area were hugely successful.
Regrettably, because she was spending too much of her book
writing time and receiving no remuneration from AOL, White quit
ASTRONET in 1996.
In 1997, Suzanne White went to work as anchor for an astrology
section on CHANNELA, an ambitious Asian/American Web site
designed to explain all aspects of Asian culture to its users in
a modern, upbeat way. Her ChannelA site and its extensive
content is web-ready and available from ChannelA’s archives.
On ChannelA, Suzanne White offered not only her in-depth Chinese
Astrology character readings (type in your birth date and up
comes your personal reading), but she also produced a weekly
relationship column and wrote 24 original weekly horoscopes in
both Chinese and Western Astrologies. Suzanne’s witty and
whimsical approach to addressing her readers’ needs gave her
(150-200 wd) weeklies special meaning for ChannelA users. Those
weeklies drove a lot of traffic to the site. Again, on ChannelA,
White offered her relationship consultations to users. The
service was called, “THE RELATIONSHOP”. The ChannelA site closed
in early 1998.
In 1999, Suzanne White began writing weekly horoscopes for the
fresh and popular PETSTORE.COM . She invented a hugely amusing
column called:“ THE ZOODIAC™ Astrology for Pets. “ Of course,
Pet owners race to PETSTORE.COM to read Suzanne’s witty
forecasts for the pet’s month ahead. In short, Suzanne White is
a pace setter. She is also a capable, hardworking and very funny
writer. White has an enormous following and is admired and
beloved by her fans the world over. Suzanne White is also a
literary translator. She translated two novels. One French novel
for Putnam Publishing of NY. In 1987, she translated an American
novel (HOT FLASHES by Barbara Raskin) from English into French
for Eds. Robert Laffont.
